Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) Workshop cum Coding Challenge that was organized on 27th-July-2019 (Saturday) at Seminar Hall, Engineering Block With a vision to promote internet in local Indian languages, with particular reference to ‘Devanagari’ script in the current phase, the Internet and Mobile Association of India [IAMAI], under the aegis of Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), organized the third “Universal Acceptance Workshop†and “Coding Challenge†at JECRC University, Jaipur. Students from different institutions, startups and young entrepreneurs participated in the Workshop. This dialogue and discussion will facilitate integration of Indian scripts in the internet thereby helping internet transactions, creation and consumption of content in Indian local languages that in turn will enable greater internet penetration and usage in the country.
Prof (Dr.) D P Mishra, President & Vice Chancellor, JECRC University, in his welcome address, emphasized on the need of peoples engagement in local language for wider internet penetration in small towns and rural areas. He is also said that the future opportunities lay with communication and engagement in local languages.
Shri Nitin Walia, Director, Data Xgen Technologies, during his address shared his views on Universal Acceptance as a tool which can help driving growth connect for the netizens.
