The inception of JECRC 90.8 FM dates back to August 22, 2024, when our esteemed parent institution, JECRC University Jaipur, Rajasthan, under the visionary leadership of Shri. Amit Agrawal, Shri Arpit Agrawal, Sh. Dheemant Agrawal, President Prof. Victor Gambhir and Registrar Shri. S.L. Agrawal made the strategic decision to pursue a community radio license. This initiative was undertaken with the noble aim of extending benefits to marginalized segments of society by fostering awareness, education, and information dissemination.

Aligned with the overarching vision of JECRC University to provide quality education and fortify the Indian knowledge ecosystem, JECRC 90.8 FM was established with the mission to enrich society. Following in the footsteps of its parent institution, JECRC 90.8 FM endeavours to empower young minds and contribute to India’s aspiration of becoming a global leader in knowledge dissemination.

JECRC 90.8 FM Community Radio serves as a pivotal platform for communities to amplify local voices and address pertinent issues spanning health, nutrition, education, agriculture, and beyond. Our community radio station fosters enhanced grassroots participation in developmental initiatives, thereby embodying a holistic approach towards societal advancement.

This community radio service stands as India’s inaugural radio station entirely operated by students. We hold a lifetime membership with the Community Radio Association of India.
