Additional Fees & Policies

  • Electricity charges are additional and will be computed monthly based on actual consumption, reflected through individual sub meters.
  • Gymnasium Fee (Optional) : Rs.1,000/- per month (as per availability).
  • Mess Charges: Covers Four meals a day (breakfast, lunch, evening snacks, and dinner).
  • Installment Deadline: The payment must be made by 15th November.
  • Late Fee: A penalty of Rs.500/- per day will be incurred for late payments.
  • The fee for The Oasis, Dreamer’s Nest, and Seasons Park will be collected at the hostel facilities office.
  • The fee for Green Meadows will be collected at the JECRC University accounts office.
  • Details regarding the mode of payment will be available at the respective payment collection office.

Payment Schedule & Deadlines

  • 1st Installment: At the time of hostel admission.

  • 2nd Installment: To be paid by 15th November of every year.

  • Late Payment Penalty: A fine of Rs. 500/- per day will be incurred for payments made after the deadline, unless approved by the administration.

Important Payment Guidelines

Mode of Payment:

  • Online via NEFT/RTGS/UPI/Credit & Debit Cards.

  • Direct bank transfer (Details available on the university website).

  • Payment receipts must be submitted to the hostel administration for confirmation.

Hostel Fee is Non-Refundable & Non-Transferable:

  • Once paid, the hostel fee will not be refunded, even if a student decides to leave mid-year.

Summer Semester Accommodation:

  • The hostel fee covers only 10 months of stay (August – May).

  • Students requiring accommodation during the summer semester (June–July) will have to pay an additional fee.

Suspension of Hostel Services:

  • In unforeseen circumstances (pandemics, natural disasters, government orders), hostel operations may be temporarily suspended.

  • Fees will not be refunded in such cases.

At JECRC Approved Hostels we maintain a structured and disciplined living environment to ensure the safety, well-being, and comfort of all residents. These rules are designed to foster a sense of responsibility, community living, and academic productivity while ensuring that students have a safe and enjoyable hostel experience.
Every resident is expected to abide by the rules and regulations set forth by the hostel administration.
Violations of these rules will lead to disciplinary action, fines, or expulsion from the hostel, depending on the severity of the offense.

General Hostel Rules

Hostel Accommodation is for the Entire Academic Year (10 months):

  • A hostel seat is allotted for one academic year (two semesters).

  • Students cannot vacate the hostel mid-year unless permitted by the Deputy Director of Hostels.

Hostel Timings & Curfew:

  • Boys’ Hostel gates close at 10:00 PM.

  • Girls’ Hostel gates close at 8:00 PM.

  • Late entry without prior permission will result in disciplinary action.

Attendance & Movement Log:

  • Daily attendance is compulsory at 10:00 PM.

  • Residents must sign in/out in the movement register when leaving or returning.

Room Allotment & Transfers:

  • Rooms are assigned by the hostel administration.

  • Students cannot change rooms without prior approval.

Quiet Hours:

  • Silence must be maintained from 10:00 PM – 6:00 AM for study and rest.

  • Loud music, shouting, or any disturbance is strictly prohibited.

Visitors & Guests:

  • Visitors (including parents/guardians) must obtain prior permission from the warden.

  • Day scholars are not allowed inside hostel rooms.

Prohibited Activities

Ragging, Bullying & Harassment:

  • JECRC follows a ZERO-TOLERANCE policy against ragging as per UGC guidelines.

  • Any form of physical, verbal, or mental harassment will lead to immediate expulsion.

Alcohol, Drugs & Gambling:

  • Possession, consumption, or distribution of alcohol, drugs, or tobacco is strictly banned.

  • Students found violating this rule will face immediate expulsion & legal action.

Weapons & Dangerous Items:

  • Possession of weapons, explosives, or any dangerous materials is strictly prohibited.

  • Immediate expulsion & legal action will be taken against violators.

Unauthorized Electrical Appliances:

  • Use of personal heaters, induction cookers, iron, or gas stoves is prohibited.

  • Violators will be fined, and the item will be confiscated.

Leave & Outing Policy

Regular Out–Pass Timings:

  • Boys: 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM (Weekdays), 9:00 AM – 8:00 PM (Weekends).

  • Girls: 5:00 PM – 6:00 PM (Weekdays), 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM (Weekends).

Night-Out Permission:

  • Night-out pass is granted only with written permission from parents.

  • Any student who fails to return on time will be reported to parents & subject to penalties.

Mess & Dining Regulations

Mess Timings:

  • Breakfast: 7:30 AM – 8:00 AM

  • Lunch: 11:30 AM – 2:00 PM

  • Evening Snacks: 5:15 PM – 6:15 PM

  • Dinner: 7:30 PM – 9:30 PM

Dining Rules:

  • Students must carry ID cards to access the mess.

  • Mess utensils must not be taken outside the dining hall.

  • Food wastage is strictly discouraged—repeated wastage may result in fines.

Room allotment is based on availability, but requests for specific roommates can be submitted to the Hostel Administration Office at the time of admission also the process does not guarantee the preferred seat availability.

  • No, the security deposit & the hostel fee is non-refundable and non-transferable.
  • If a student chooses to vacate the hostel before the end of the academic year, they will forfeit any remaining hostel fee and the security deposit.

  • JECRC Approved Hostels offer 24×7 security surveillance, biometric entry, and security personnel stationed at hostel gates.
  • Resident wardens and supervisors are available at all times to monitor safety and assist students
  • Hostel curfew timings are strictly followed:

  • Out-pass permissions are required for outings beyond designated hours.
