The School of Allied Health Sciences is established with the objective of producing skilled manpower in different areas of health sciences for better healthcare. The major contribution of the Allied Medical Professionals is in strengthening the medical and health services by being the major support system to medical and health sciences. Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPT)

BPT is a four and half year undergraduate program offered by JECRCU for School of Allied Health Sciences. Physiotherapy or Physical therapy is an allied Medical profession that, by using mechanical force and movements (biomechanics or kinesiology), manual therapy, exercise therapy, electrotherapy, remediates impairments and promotes mobility and function. Physiotherapy as a profession originated during the First World War for rehabilitating the musculoskeletal injuries of soldiers. In India, the advent of Physiotherapy was in 1952 following a major epidemic of Poliomyelitis in Mumbai. In 1953, first school and centre for Physiotherapy was established in Mumbai. Owing to its multidisciplinary significance, Physiotherapy started to expand across multiple specialties from Orthopedics and Neurology to Pediatrics, Obstetrics, Gynecology, Geriatrics, Sports and Exercise sciences, Community based rehabilitation etc. In 21st century, Physiotherapy has been recognized as the most vital healthcare system to combat the physical health issues. The department has been constantly growing in stature through guidance from the eminent academicians and prominent physiotherapists including visiting faculties. The Department owes its gratitude to its unrelenting faculty and integrated curriculum that combines self-directed learning opportunities with high quality tutorials and hands on clinical training. We, at JECRCU are determined to raise the bar in Physiotherapy education across the country by promoting quality, add innovative learning strategies and provide unmatched clinical exposure to make the Department the best in the country. We firmly believe in the values that are most relevant to the health community and professional integrity. Team work is essential as this job necessitate the person to work in partnership with other healthcare providers. Bachelor of Medical Technology (BMLT)

BMLT is a four year undergraduate program offered by JECRCU for School of Allied Health Sciences. Medical Laboratory Technology is an Allied Health specialty concerned with the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of disease through the use of clinical laboratory tests.  Though the Medical Lab technologists spend less time with patients than doctors and nurses, medical laboratory professionals are just as dedicated to patient’s health. As vital members of the health care team, medical laboratory professionals play a critical role in collecting the information needed to give the best care to an ill or injured patient. The fact is that the practice of modern medicine would be impossible without the tests performed in the laboratory. Medical laboratory professionals have unlimited choices of practice settings. Hospitals, clinics, nursing homes, public health facilities, and commercial laboratories all have positions open right now for qualified laboratory professionals. In these settings, communication and research skills are highly valued. Employment of clinical laboratory workers is expected to grow as the volume of laboratory tests increases with population growth and the development of new types of tests.

Bachelor of Radiation Technology (BRT)

BRT is a four year undergraduate program offered by JECRCU for School of Allied Health Sciences. Radiological technology is the production of images of internal organs and structures by passing a small, highly controlled amount of radiation through the human body, and capturing the resulting image on an image recording device. The course is concerned with direct administration of radiation primary x- rays, in disease diagnosis.  This branch of Allied Health Science deals with the use of sophisticated technology in medical imaging. In this course students learn various techniques and process to create images of human body or parts and organs for clinical diagnosis purpose. Medical procedures to reveal about disease and other medical problems. Radiation and Imaging professionals have unlimited choices of practice settings. Hospitals, clinics, nursing homes and public health facilities all have positions open right now for qualified Radiation and Imaging professionals.
