Abhyudaya- Social Arm of JECRC

Growth and development of any nation is deeply embedded in the collective augmentation of all the sections of the society. In this process of evolution, youth plays a very important role. They form one of the strongest pillars of the society. The vision and mission of JECRC Foundation resonates with the thought of strong nation building. This cause of development is further strengthened by the students of JECRC Foundation, who work under the umbrella of ABHUYDAYA-The Social Arm of JECRC. Abhyudaya constantly strives towards betterment by mobilising the students on the path of self awareness, goodness and wisdom. It aims to prepare the students to face the challenges of life and emerge victorious.

During the last one decade more than 5000+ students have actively participated in the activities of social groups. In this quest of righteousness we have been ably guided and mentored by the best of the fraternity. We are associated with Nobel Laureate Mr. Kailash Satyarthi;  Padma Bhushan Dr.D.R Mehta (founder and chief patron of Bhagwan Mahaveer Viklang Sahayata Samiti, Jaipur);  Mr.N.K.Choudhary (Founder of Jaipur Rugs, Ghandhi of Carpet Industry, Jaipur Rugs Company Pvt. Ltd.) and Ramon Magsaysay Awardee Anshu Gupta. The fraternization with such great luminaries has imported the magnitude of being gentle, generous, helpful and polite, in the lives of the students.

Our Vision is to create a center with holistic approach towards the community development and enhancement.

Our Mission is to instill the life qualities essential for harmonious existence, to enhance the spirit of innovation, to develop human potential to its fullest and to create an enlightened and spiritually awakened nation.

Abhuydaya has four wings which continuously work in the direction of uprightness.

Zarurat “The Help Beyond”

Zarurat, as the name and emblem signifies – “helping the deprived”, is a non-profit student-run organization whose main motive is to help the underprivileged children residing in nearby neighbourhood, by providing them with the basic need and right of a human, i.e. primary education. The philosophy of the team is “each one; teach one”. Zarurat helps in overall development of a child and provides a platform where a child can educate himself and hone his skills and become a better citizen of the society.

The foundation of Zarurat was laid in the year 2011 in JECRC Foundation and in the subsequent year it was brought to JECRC University by its first batch of students. In the initial days, surveys were conducted in the nearby areas of the campus to get a rough estimate of the number of children and accordingly the classes were started. Since then, there has been no looking back. Regular classes are being conducted 5 days a week and every Saturday extra-curricular activities like sports, dance, music, art & craft are planned for the kids.

Zarurat involves a way of teaching and learning with strong communication, care, love, respect, learning and creativity. We have more than 7000+ working hours, 500+ student coordinators who actively share the responsibility. Today we have more than 250+ small kids from nearby areas of University who enjoy with us and have become a part of each and every activity. Our founder members are now placed in good companies, some have their own business and some have progressed for higher education.

Zarurat celebrates almost all the festivals with the kids with the spirit of celebration and commemoration. It instils in them the value of culture, integrity, secularity and harmony. Apart from this, events like Tree Plantation Drive, Diya Decoration Drive, Medical Health check-up Drive, Clothes Distribution Event, Mask distribution, Annual Event, etc., are organized every year for the children. Zarurat volunteers also pay regular visits to old age homes, schools for deaf and dumb and a government school in the nearby village. Zarurat has come up with Basic Computer Knowledge program for underprivileged children. During pandemic also, team was connected with these children in online mode and delivered different E-Modules for their overall development.


Aashayein “The Life Saviours”

Aashayein, one of the imperative student initiatives of JECRC Foundation, has been incessantly working with the prime aim of fulfilling growing demands for fresh SDPs. Aashayein is the only student group in India which works in the field of providing fresh SDPs for 24x7.

Members of the team are available round the clock for the patients suffering from Dengue and other blood-related diseases. Team has collaborated with different hospitals of Jaipur. At the time of need of SDPs, the hospitals contact the team coordinators who in turn provide eligible donors with the help of database maintained by coordinators. The team have active database of more than 12000 donors.

The earnest efforts put in by the team members have helped in saving more than 1600 lives by donating SDP's till date. Aashayein has set a benchmark by collecting a total of 16,667 units of blood in past years in the yearly organized blood donation camps.

Old age home visits are also organized every year where the students get an opportunity to spend momentous moments with the elders and to learn about the good, happy, bitter and dismal aspects of their life. The team aspires to motivate the youth of the nation to be a part of this supreme earnestness. The team aims to spread awareness among masses, and to transcend the boundary of the state of Rajasthan and serve the entire nation. 


Suhasini  “BetiBachaoBetiPahdao”

Imbued with life's mantra -"A vision and mission to make a better place for girls to live in", the students of JECRC laid the foundation of SUHASINI in 2015 (National Girl Child Day).

Since its inception, the group is actively and dedicatedly working for the cause “beti bachao, beti padhao.” To bring a change in the society for girls, Suhasini works in various domains and does survey and elimination of problems at villages through regular monitoring. The members make door-to-door visits to understand the basic roots of the problem. Information pertaining to sex ratio, school going children and their ratio etc. are collected and analysed. Then a proper plan is devised for resolving the problem. This includes helping families complete their documentation, getting children admitted to schools and helping them develop various other skills. The team visits localities and schools in these areas on a daily basis.

Suhasini also organizes ‘Story behind Red’, an awareness campaign for menstrual health and hygiene wherein girls are educated about the importance of maintaining hygiene during menstruation. These campaigns are conducted in various government schools and villages.

The team celebrates relevant days like International Women's Day, National Girl Child Day , International Day of Girl Child etc. Awareness is spread through the performance of Nukkad Natak at various venues, ranging from Campus to various landmark sites in the city like Shree Ram ki Nangal, Janpath, Gaurav Tower, Jal Mahal, Amber Fort, City Palace and Albert Hall.

More than 10,000 people have been addressed so far by these urban area campaigns. The team is also very active on social media and organizes social media campaigns like Selfie with girl child, She My Strength, Dream I Can, She Will Achieve etc. In the journey so far, Suhasini has succeeded in connecting with people from 8 villages- Goner, Badi ka Baas, Shree Ram ki Nangal, Barah Meel, Bheelwa, Shivdaspura, Sitapura, Laxmipura and from different areas of Jaipur city to the cause. More than 210 girls have been connected to the mainstream education. Suhasini doesn’t only serve the women; it serves the ones who build societies for humans to dwell in!


Soch “Kuch Kar Dikhane Ki”

SOCH Kuch Kar Dikhane ki - is the social arm of JECRC that works predominantly along the lines of social and environmental interest of the society from 2014. From planting hundreds of saplings in and out of the campus to cleanliness drives, from visiting orphanages to organizing incredible utility donation camps, this quintessential enterprise has done it all. Soch team motivate more than 15000+ people till now. Team has donated 10,000+ units of clothes in its venture Vastra Samman.

Inspired by the research of ICMR stating that CPR enhances 30% chances of a person to be alive after accident, more than 500 students are now CPR trained by renowned doctors of the city. Throughout the journey, SOCH provides the opportunities to develop communication skills, collaborative skills; helps enhance skills like content writing, graphic designing, and management and leadership skills. It also helps develop moral values and teaches responsibility towards our society.

The QR code scanners located all across the campus for reporting grubby areas have made a significant impact in maintaining the cleanliness around the campus. In the past few sessions, the growth of this noble group has been unprecedented. Through weekly edifiers and organized social media campaigns emphasizing several important issues, the social initiative has gone from strength to strength.

With climate change being such a relevant issue across the world, the team truly understands its responsibility and has been at the helm of spreading awareness and working day and night in order to keep the society informed and safe.

This social initiative organizes various social activities throughout the year to develop leadership, team spirit, mutual respect and camaraderie among the students and people.
