Master's degree with a minimum of 55% marks.
Applications for Ph.D. program are received throughout the year. The JU Ph.D. Entrance Exam is conducted twice a year (December and July). The candidates may proceed with literature survey, problem identification and protocol evaluation process and other formalities. Registration to Ph.D. Programme will be confirmed after the candidate passing the JECRC University Ph.D. Entrance Examination.
Types of Candidates for Research
Full Time research scholars who will carry out their research full time on the campus. Normally each of the full time research scholars will receive a scholarship from the University Research Grant/UGC/ AICTE/ A sponsoring School/Agency or a Teaching Assistantship from the School/department to cover his living expenses and expenditure on his research work.
Part Time Internal Candidates (applicable to working faculty members in any of the departments/ schools of JU /JECRC Foundation.
External Candidates, who will register with the University, complete the mandatory residential and credit requirements as laid down and will be then permitted to continue their research work at their place of work if approved as a research School by the University. They will make a presentation to the Research Committee/RPEC at the University/Constituent College through which they have registered, on the progress of their research work once every six months (At the end of each semester).
